CU Fitter™ Active Recovery Cancer Exercise

Supporting you at every stage of your cancer journey, from diagnosis to recovery, and beyond.

The CU Fitter™ Active Recovery cancer exercise classes are for those who have just been diagnosed, are in recovery, undergoing treatment or in remission. And, the classes cover all types of cancer.

Our qualified trainers are very special as they are educated to understand the limitations of cancer, what is required to support your physical health and fitness, and what it takes to deal with the emotional effects of cancer. Their skills and expertise enable them to see how your mind and body is reacting to the tailored-programme they design specifically for you.

Inspirational, knowledgeable and fun to work with they will teach you all about your body, how it works, and what is good for it, so that your personal training experience is both educational and truly enjoyable.

Currently available on a self-referral basis, the CU Fitter™ classes only cater for cancer patients, or for those with on-going health problems. A unique feature of the CU Fitter™ gym environment is that it is non-competitive, so our members feel relaxed, at ease, and have fun whilst exercising.

You will be asked to complete a Physical Exercise Assessment form, which the trainer will discuss with you before you can take part in the classes, and you will also be given a letter that we recommend you take to your doctor to alert him to the fact that you wish to take part in exercise.
