Sponsor a Cancer Patient

From the moment you are diagnosed with cancer the world seems to stop; nothing feels normal anymore, and in many cases people feel alone, frightened and isolated.

For less than £5.00 per week, you can give a cancer patient a better chance. A better life.

The challenge

Whilst Macmillan have recently hailed physical activity for those living with cancer as the 'underrated wonder drug', many patients will not be in a position to join a health club or mainstream gyms, and even if they were, they wouldn't have access to specialist cancer fitness trainers to help and support them through their fitness recovery.

CU Fitter™ Active Cancer Recovery is an initiative with a difference.

With the help of our specialist trainers the physical and mental wellbeing of cancer patients can be dramatically improved over a very short period of time.

The goal

By sponsoring a cancer patient you will be helping us give a better chance of recovery to everyone. Under £5.00 per week will enable a cancer patient to undergo a fitness test, to assess which class or classes are suitable for them, after which they will then be able to take part in group exercises, especially designed for their type of cancer and enjoy the challenge in a non-judgemental, non-competitive environment with others who have gone through the same experience.

It will also give them the opportunity of becoming a member of the Cancer Support Group where they will receive all the social benefits, including most importantly, peer to peer support.
